Credit Union Directory Methodology
Find My Credit Union is a public, non-commercial directory of federally insured U.S. credit unions. This page explains how the directory is built, what each field means, how data is verified, why some records are listings only, and how corrections are reviewed.
The directory contains records for U.S. credit unions identified in publicly available NCUA filings. Records vary in completeness: some include only the credit union name, headquarters state, charter number, and status, while others include enriched profiles with official website, membership notes, branch and ATM locators, online banking and mobile app URLs, asset and member counts, and a list of verification sources. Records labeled "enriched profile" have been individually reviewed; records labeled "directory listing" reflect baseline data from the source filings and have not been individually verified beyond the source itself.
